The Journal of History and Military Studies (JHMS) is an annual publication of the Department of History and War Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, Nigeria. The journal seeks to promote academic excellence and critical thought on any aspect of history and military studies and to provide insights that are not only relevant to historians, social scientists and military professionals but also to policymakers, researchers and students. We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit original research papers, book reviews, and review articles of global relevance for consideration in our next volume.
